BLS HeartCode® Complete

Healthcare education is evolving—and resuscitation training is evolving with it. The American Heart Association's HeartCode® Complete program combines self-paced online learning with hands-on skills training, giving you the flexibility to complete your BLS training at your own pace.

Specialized Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM) Skill Stations are located in Rexburg and Pocatello, Idaho for your convenience.

Students who successfully complete BLS HeartCode Complete receive the same American Heart Association BLS Course Completion Card as students who complete the traditional classroom-based BLS course.

BLS HeartCode Complete in 4 Simple Steps

1. REGISTER

Register for the BLS HeartCode Complete course and select the Skill Station location that works best for you.

2. CHECK YOUR EMAIL

We will build your access to your online course assignment in the American Heart Association's RQI 1Stop learning platform and send you an email with everything you need to get started.

Please allow 1–2 business days for your course access to be set up and your email to be sent.

Your email will include:

• A link to access your online course

• A link to schedule your hands-on skills session at your selected Skill Station

• Additional information to help you get started

3. COMPLETE YOUR TRAINING

Complete the online portion on your own device, then attend your scheduled hands-on session at the Skill Station.

You may schedule your hands-on session as soon as you receive your registration link, you do not need to complete the online course before scheduling. **SAME DAY appointments are typically available at our Rexburg location.**

The online portion must be completed before attending your hands-on skills session.

4. ACCESS YOUR AHA CARD

Successfully complete both portions and immediately access your official American Heart Association BLS Course Completion Card through the program.

What You Can Expect

Online Learning

HeartCode BLS uses personalized adaptive learning to adjust your learning experience based on your performance and self-reported confidence level.

The online portion typically takes approximately 1–2 hours, although completion time varies by learner.

Hands-On Skills

Your hands-on session takes place at a Skill Station using Voice-Assisted Manikins.

You'll have the opportunity to practice and test your ability to provide high-quality CPR for adults and infants, including:

• High-quality chest compressions

• Rescue breathing

• Two-rescuer CPR techniques

The Voice-Assisted Manikins provide audible and visual feedback during your practice and testing.

The hands-on portion typically takes less than 30 minutes.

Your Course Access

The course access link you receive by email is used to access the online course on your own device.

When you arrive at the Skill Station, the computer will already be set up and ready for your course. You will need your RQI 1Stop username and password to log in.

If this is your first time using RQI 1Stop, you will select “Forgot Password” to set up your password when you first access your course.

Same AHA Certification

Students who successfully complete BLS HeartCode Complete receive the same American Heart Association BLS Course Completion Card as students who complete the traditional classroom-based BLS course.

Your course completion card is valid for two years.

Important Information

• Both the online and hands-on portions must be completed within 90 days of course purchase.

• You may schedule your hands-on session before completing the online course.
